Debt reduction starts with five bucks

Have you ever had a project, homework assignment or job task that you just couldn’t seem to get started because you didn’t know WHERE to start? Getting out of debt can often feel just like that can’t it? The task seems so huge that you just don’t know where to begin?

Here’s a tip from someone who’s been there too. Start with five bucks.

The next time you write a check for the credit card bill, car payment, or student loan, make it for five dollars more than you usually do. Then, over the course of the month, the next time you want to spend five dollars on something, don’t, no matter what.

Start with this and you begin a cycle of paying down debt and reducing your spending. Try it for one month. Then two. Then the third month, make it ten dollars. Go from there.

Start small, keep it simple, focus on one task, one debt payment and you will be on the road to financial success no matter how monstrous and overwhelming the debt might seem.

You can do this, this month. You can get out of debt now!
