Finding a new job - Putting a New Year's resolution in motion

“Thank God it’s Friday!” Are you fed up with your job? Do you wonder why you go into work every day to get a paycheck that isn’t big enough to make ends meet?

For many of us, we usually don’t start thinking about New Year’s resolutions until January 1st of the new year. I’d like to recommend that you start now!

With some planning, you could begin laying the groundwork, right now, for a new and more meaningful job come next year. Why not start this weekend by looking to see what jobs are out there and what might interest you?

Try doing a Google search for “Find a new job” or “Job hunting” and check out some of the links. Put a plan in motion and start drafting a new resume this month. Work on it just a little at a time.

By the end of the year, you should have a good idea of your “ideal” job, some possible openings you’ve been looking at and a resume ready to distribute. Then, come January 1, start sending them out.

Who knows, maybe, on a given Friday next January, you’ll be lamenting that it’s Friday!
