Getting out of debt on minimum wage?

If you are making the minimum wage in your state, you probably already realize it's going to be nearly impossible to get out of debt anytime soon. You need more money, right? Well, according to this story, some of you might be better off NOT working:

"Two months into her minimum wage job at Target Corp., Tara Dennis realized she and her three children would be better off if she was unemployed and on food stamps. So she quit.

'As a single mom, minimum wage isn't going to get me ahead. It's not even going to get me caught up,' said Dennis, who lives in Missoula, Mont."

If this describes your situation, don't resort to giving up and just sitting at home living on food stamps, unless that's the life you really want. No one is forcing Tara or you or anyone else to only earn minimum wage. If you want to make more than minimum wage, then ask yourself this question:

"What do I have to do to earn MORE than minimum wage?"

When you answer that question, go make it happen. Millions have done it before you. Tara can do it and so can you!
