Buying Tip: Simplest way on the planet to save

I have found the following tip to be THE best way to save money. Why? Because using this tip, you never actually end up spending your money on what you were going to in the first place. It's a 100% savings!

It sounds silly, I know, but realistically, many, if not most, of the purchases we make are done very quickly. In other words, we don't take much time to think about whether or not we need something, we just get whatever it is that we want.

Obviously this is limited somewhat by our income, but if you want a new sleeping bag, video game, piece of clothing, movie or music CD, you go to the store and you buy it.

The next time you want to buy something, anything (well, maybe other than groceries), consider this buying tip: don't buy. Instead wait a week, or two and see if you still need it. For big-ticket items like a television or car, wait a month (assuming you still have working transportation).

If you're buying decision is not based on an emergency situation, chances are that you will be able to wait a week or a month and not feel any consequences.

This won't work in all circumstances obviously, but here's the bottom line. Most of what we buy, we really don't NEED. We just want. If you want to seriously get out of debt, stop buying so much junk you don't need and instead start paying down your debts.

It really is that simple...simplest way on the planet to save - just don't buy it.
