Making debt a part of your history, not your future

Well, it's Tuesday, so back to work we go! For those that live in the USA and had President's day off from work, getting back into the swing of things can be a little challenging, can't it?

Sometimes getting out of debt feels a little bit like that as well. You've been plugging real hard and making efforts to not spend everything you make, constantly looking for ways to cut costs.

Then the weekend comes and you take a break from all the finance stuff. But when Monday rolls around, it's time to get back into the swing of things again.

It seems every day of the week has a decision to make related to money and that can be very tiring. In fact, it's much easier just to pull out the credit card than make an effort at a decision to wait on something.

Here's a thought: for every day that passes, it is a day that the debt in your life is becoming a part of your life's history. Remind yourself regularly that you are making debt a part of your history, not your future.

Remember, your future is lined with freedom from debt and the cash that comes with it. Take hold of that future reality every single day because each day that passes is movement towards the realization that today's payments to creditors will one day be payments into your bank account.

This is only a dream if you do nothing. If you are working at getting debt-free, it is a reality, your future, that will one day be realized!
