What to look for in a good debt solution
Finding the right debt solution these days can be like trying to find a single tree in a national rain forest of similar trees. There's just so many to choose from - how does one pick the one that's best for them?
Here's some questions to ask yourself:
1) How much time can I commit to trying to get out of debt on a weekly basis?
2) Is it inexpensive? I'm trying to get out of debt after all.
3) Can the program be tweaked to my specifications so it meets MY needs?
4) Is it simple to use or is there a boat-load of complicated paperwork and fine print that makes no sense?
5) Can I learn the program in a short amount of time?
6) Has it worked for others?
7) Does it empower me to do what I need to do, on my own, or am I dependent on another system?
When it gets right down to it, I like things to be simple, straight-forward, easy to understand, simple to learn and implement and customizable to my own personal needs.
I hate small print and people that tell me I can get out of debt in "this" amount of time before they even know my situation. That's just not realistic.
In fact, when I considered the above questions for my own situation years ago, I couldn't find anything that met all of what I was looking for. So to heck with it - I made my own debt solution.
Today, I've taken the result of those efforts and put together a solution that meets all of my criteria for a good plan, and packaged it up for others to use.
It's a debt solution like nothing else out there.
