Credit Card Debt Negotiation - SCAM Alert!

If someone were to tell you that with their service, they could reduce your debt by half in 30 days and significantly reduce the interest rates on your credit cards, all for a small fee, would you do it?

Heck, why not! Even I would be tempted by an offer like that to instantly reduce credit card debt.

But here's the rub; there are hundreds of scams out there just begging for vulnerable people like us to cough up the $500 fee in advance while we sit and wait for something (nothing) to happen.

Don't do it.

Any organization that charges a huge fee, up front, is NOT one with your best interests in mind. Period.

There is NO quick fix for reducing credit card debt so no matter how good the deal sounds, walk away, or at worst, do some research.

Getting out of debt really is not as difficult as some people might lead you to believe and looking for a "get out fast" solution will only open the door to theives. In fact, you can probably do it on your own with a few simple tools. Here's a debt solution that I put together for example that shows you exactly how to do this.

If you are struggling to keep your head above water financially and the pressures are unbearable, then counseling is definitely the way to go though. It may sound funny to consider a financial counselor for your debt situation, but trust me, I myself have used a counselor in the past and it's well worth the effort.

Wiping away debt quickly is rarely ever a reality unless you're talking bankruptcy so coming to grips with this fact is key. The next key that you must realize is YES, you can be debt free. Just not over night.

Be smart, think twice, do your research and you'll be well armed to prevent yourself from falling into the dangerous trap of a scam and instead, ready to take advantage of the right solution that comes along.
